Co-enzyme Q10 is produced naturally in the body and found in the mitochondria inside every cell. The highest concentration of CoQ10 is found in the organs that have the highest energy requirements, such as the heart, liver, kidneys and lungs. As we age our bodies naturally produce less Co-Q10, but it is possible to increase intake through diet or supplementation.
CoQ10 is lipophilic which means ‘fat loving’. As a result, it has been paired in this formulation with medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) from coconut oil which aid in the absorption of CoQ10.
