Extremely well written, clear, and user-friendly discussion of eight Lac Remedies. Examines themes common to all - such as ambivalence, lack of support, and victim-consciousness - along with an in-depth discussion of each Lac individually. The author's observations derive both from existing Materia Medica and, most usefully, from his own clinical experience - including a number of cases and tips for spotting particular remedies. An individual remedy themes are clearly highlighted at the front of the book so you can look them up quickly and easily. Each Lac is discussed in relation to and differentiated from, similar Lacs and remedies. Perhaps especially interesting are the author's insights into Lac Felinum - probably a rather overlooked Lac. He vividly paints its highly distinctive picture, similar in many ways to Sepia and Carcinosin. Of central importance to any Lac case is the relationship with the patient's own mother - and how she is as a mother herself. Bailey describes this crucial relationship in detail - giving a fascinating account of how cycles of feeling unmothered can repeat down generations - and how the appropriate remedy for mother and child can heal this dynamic. Very interesting, inspiring, and likely to be of great use in practice. Remedies covered: Lac Humanum, Lac Felinum, Lac Equis, Lac Caninum, Lac Defloratum, Lac Leoninum, Lac Delphinum, Lac Lupinum.
