Mastering Chronic Disease
Jon Gamble

This new book from Australian homeopath, naturopath and osteopath Jon Gamble, is aimed at practitioners of integrative medicine. It is a no-nonsense guide, grounded in an approach that is both holistic and scientific, and showcases the author's vast experience in treating chronically ill patients. With plenty of clinical examples, he guides practitioners into a new way at looking at complex cases, treating underlying pathology by looking at three main causative factors: mineral deficiencies, toxic load and infections. These he addresses as modern-day obstacles to cure.

Gamble demonstrates how treating deficiencies may be all that is needed to bring about homeostasis and detoxification, and therefore healing. He also gives various examples of how he uses homeopathic medicines to reduce the toxic element load. At the end of the main text, there are four really useful appendices giving details of resources, testing protocols, heavy metal chelation and tailor-made homeopathic remedies.

This is a practical book which extends the terrain covered in Volume 3 of the author's Mastering Homeopathy Series (Obstacles to Cure) and it is an extraordinarily insightful and rigorous work. It ties in many of the chronic modern health issues regarding heavy metal pollution, chemical sensitivity, infection with biotoxins such as Borrelia and mycotoxins from moulds, oestogen dominance and sugar dysregulation, among others, all the while providing concrete steps towards cure with homeopathy, supplementation and nutrition.
